Squirell watching

First blood

Ellie's first bloody lip! It's not something we're excited about but we had to capture it. i was chasing her down the hallway and she was giggling up a storm. she started crawling a little too fast and tripped over her own hands and smashed her face on the hardwood floor. She cried so hard I almost cried. She had a fat lip for a few days but it's ok now.

My God send

This is my friend Heather. Her husband is in the same squadron as Ben and she is a senior at the university here. She is in the ROTC program and will commission next summer. She is such a strong and courageous God-fearing woman. I have met my match in her and she blesses me everyday. She adores my daughter and Ellie is comfortable with her and is drawn to her as well. She is an answer to a prayer that I never prayed but should have.

Love for dad

Ellie has started hugging an kissing us all the time now. It's always very random and kind of unexpected it's so sweet. It's like all of a sudden she feels like she loves us so much and has to show us. I can't wait for you all to feel her little arms wrapped around your neck. It's to most amazing feeling. When we were at Lowe's the other day the "My Little Girl" song by Tim McGraw came on and Ben and Ellie were dancing and she just kept hugging him and kissing him...i shed a tear.

Fall days in the park

A normal fall day in the park would normally include a hat and maybe a sweater and shoes of course! Well for the Ellster she wears a fall "colored" dress (made with lots of love by Grandma B), no shoes and the back of her head burst with sweaty curls from the humidity and sweat from the upper 80 degree weather. She will know what real fall is someday and what it's like to go to a pumpkin patch and wear mittens and cute little hats. Until then we'll be sweatin' it out in Georgia!

How much she has changed

Our 1 year old

Always our baby girl regardless of how big she gets and how grown up she becomes...we are truly rich

Presents and then...put a fork in her

She had just about enough of all this during present opening.

Cake time!

She had the whole top tier to herself and she just picked at the frosting a little then she sucked on the cake and then ended up with a whole piece in her hand and then was DONE! She started to push it off her tray (which is what she does when she's done eating). She almost got disgusted with it and wanted it out of her sight.

Uncle Mike

Mike is one of Ben's good friends from the sq. He brought Ellie a pink Care Bear wrapped in tin foil (he's single). Ellie seems to really like him a lot...he also adores her

The Birthday Girl!

The big day!

Ellie woke up and it was almost as if she knew it was her day. She was all grins and giggles all day...until the party started. She wasn't well napped and got a little dazed with all the people who came to celebrate with her. She got some wonderful gifts and was so blessed by so many amazing people here...we are so blessed!

Fun at the park

Heather and I met some of the wives at the park last week for lunch and social time...it was great. Ellie liked the park a lot more then I thought she would. We went down the slide and then sat in the swing a lot. When we would push her in the swing as she got faster and higher she would giggle and almost laugh histerically...it was the sweetest thing. I can't wait to take Ben with us sometime so he can see how hysterical she is in the swing

CU Game

Ben and two of his friends from work went to the CU game in FL (the Buffs got their butts handed to 'em). With the drive and tailgating it was an ALL day event...they had a lot of fun!
