Ellie and her girls (who are now one and walking)

On the way home

Ellie of course did amazing on the way home. We stopped at Bass Pro Shops and looked at the fish forever and all the stuffed animals that Ellie thinks are a dog. Dinner was at Starbucks, can't beat oatmeal and a box of apple juice.

Stopping through sloppy Lousiana

Dustin and Melissa's wedding

One of Ben's friends from the AFA got married. Ben was in the saber Arch with a few of his other friends that he hasn't seen in awhile. It was such a great opportunity to see old friends and catch up in such an amazing place. The church was at the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square, which was absolutely beautiful. I have never been to Europe but some people said that it's almost the equivalent to cathedral's in Europe. Then the wedding was next door where the food was amazing. Oh have I said that yet? The food in New Orleans is out of this world. Ben and I made it a goal to eat our hearts out while we were there. Cajun and Creole and all kinds of seafood cooked all kinds of spicy ways was so great. We are not seafood eaters generally, but we had our share of crawfish and shrimp for sure. You have to eat in New Orleans...it's almost as important then Bourbon St. We were a little over Bourbon St. We're a little over those kind of partying days. during the day it was fun but at night they close the street off and it's pretty much a free for all. Ben for sure had way too much to drink...I won't expand on that anymore then that. But he had a blast and was able to relax and catch up and of course talk AF with old friends. We raced back the next morning after stuffing our faces with breakfast and lunch! We got back in time to wake Ell up from her nap.

The French Quarter

Ben and I left Ellie with grandparents for the day and night and the next day and were able to do some exploring and sightseeing in New Orleans. It was the first time that we both had left her and she did amazing! Great Gma and Gpa Samanie did such a wonderful job and enjoyed her thoroughly!

Rehearsal Dinner in the WWII Museum

We went to New Orleans for one of Ben's friends from the Academy. It was so great for him to see a few old friends and it was such a beautiful wedding in an amazing place full of fun and so much culture...New Orleans people even have their own accent.

Driving to Lousiana

Ellia was/is such an angel. She went on a 10 hour road trip with us across 4 states and didn't bat an eye. She sat in quiet sometimes. She colred. She played endlessly with a few toys and sometimes she just looked out the window. Surprisingly the one thing she didn't do much of was napping. She usually takes a 3 hour nap in the afternoon but not so much in the car. She never ceases to amaze us on a daily basis.
