Squirell watching

First blood

Ellie's first bloody lip! It's not something we're excited about but we had to capture it. i was chasing her down the hallway and she was giggling up a storm. she started crawling a little too fast and tripped over her own hands and smashed her face on the hardwood floor. She cried so hard I almost cried. She had a fat lip for a few days but it's ok now.

My God send

This is my friend Heather. Her husband is in the same squadron as Ben and she is a senior at the university here. She is in the ROTC program and will commission next summer. She is such a strong and courageous God-fearing woman. I have met my match in her and she blesses me everyday. She adores my daughter and Ellie is comfortable with her and is drawn to her as well. She is an answer to a prayer that I never prayed but should have.

Love for dad

Ellie has started hugging an kissing us all the time now. It's always very random and kind of unexpected it's so sweet. It's like all of a sudden she feels like she loves us so much and has to show us. I can't wait for you all to feel her little arms wrapped around your neck. It's to most amazing feeling. When we were at Lowe's the other day the "My Little Girl" song by Tim McGraw came on and Ben and Ellie were dancing and she just kept hugging him and kissing him...i shed a tear.

Fall days in the park

A normal fall day in the park would normally include a hat and maybe a sweater and shoes of course! Well for the Ellster she wears a fall "colored" dress (made with lots of love by Grandma B), no shoes and the back of her head burst with sweaty curls from the humidity and sweat from the upper 80 degree weather. She will know what real fall is someday and what it's like to go to a pumpkin patch and wear mittens and cute little hats. Until then we'll be sweatin' it out in Georgia!
