So on september 11, 2008 we were able to collect the WHOLE family in one area to celebrate Ellie's birthday. It was a little stressful pulling it all together with wedding stuff and details at the forefront of my mind but Nicki and Jessica helped me pull the whole thing off and I am so grateful. We all gathered at a park in Magnolia along the Puget Sound and ate really fast and opened presents and ate cake. It was late at night so we were trying to get it all done before the sun went down. Needless to say it was a blur and felt like a 5 minute party. She got her first taste of cake and after trying to eat it with her hands she just smashed her face onto the plate and picked the piece up with her mouth! I was not able to capture any pictures of it but she got pretty messy and went to bed that night with chocolate frosting in her hair and ears but she was happy.
